At least 17 times a day we turn to God and say “iyaka nasta’een” (You alone do we seek refuge in) and yet we spend the rest of the day seeking refuge in everything else: our selves, our social status, our money, our people.

“I am an adult. But I am still that child that You’re raising. A million times I have fallen in love with dunya. And a million times you have made it sting me to push me to Your tawheed. La illaha illa Allah.”

Blessings come in packages of two. With every blessing is a test. So don’t ever envy people who seem to have more than you. The more blessings, the more tests. And the greater the blessing, the harder the test.

Make sure that you don’t love Allah for the sake of a person, but rather love the person for the sake of Allah.
